Welcome

Welcome to The Long View

I have recently moved to Cape Town to live and work with my wife, Dawn, in the village of Newlands on the southern slopes of Table Mountain. The Rectory looks out on the mountain framed by every window: the Long view. It is a view of many moods, matching the movements of the soul.

Our move to Cape Town marks a transition of life and relationship, a new beginning, and a new community. And a new blog: this one! I have blogged previously, and more personally, at the life and times of rennie d and with greater focus at The Rector 's Desk, essentially a record of Parish life in Garsfontein, Pretoria. I may continue to blog at the former, but the latter is now closed. Feel free to peruse them at your leisure.

The Long View will, I suspect, be somewhat eclectic in an attempt to distinguish less between life and faith and be more inclusive of both. Please visit, and do so often!

Blessings
